This information will allow us to fine tune how we manage our properties and make sure that we are only sharing content that our audience finds relevant and interesting. As we all know, follower count isn’t the only metric out there, but I would like to start exploring new metrics, such as the average reach of all tweets from our handles, as well as what type of content sees the most interaction across all of our communties.
In addition, I’d like to begin exploring new ways of measuring our success with our communities. This can benefit our clients as well, as we can use our communities to spread and share information on some of our latest client happenings and successful efforts. To start, I plan to identify the geographic locations of our followers, and based on that information start hosting Text100 Meetups, where we can discuss the latest trends, case studies, and technology with our audience to show that we are at the forefront of our field. Our communities can be a pipeline for new sales, business opportunities, and thought leadership and converting our followers to brand ambassadors will serve this mandate. I’m a firm believer in “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and I plan to continue to use the successful framework that is already in place, but as a next step I will begin exploring ways to activate our followers to grow the influence of Text100 as a brand. Wait, that was yesterday.Īnyway, today I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed Text100’s new Global Community Manager and I am very excited to share with you my plans to continue the growth in our online communities that was started by my predecessor, Amber Rhinehard. It seems like yesterday that I was a slack-jawed yokel from Northern California trying to make it in the Big Apple.
